Contest Official Rules
"Vans TNT Advanced Prototype tester"
VF International SAGL, whose registered office is at Via Laveggio 5 - 6855 Stabio, Switzerland – VAT CHE-111.650.898 (hereinafter referred to as the "Promotion Company") is organising a Contest called “Vans TNT Advanced Prototype tester” (The “Contest”).
Entry into the Contest is free and no purchase is necessary.
By entering the Contest, Entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Contest Rules.
The Contest will run between 14/07/2018 and 21/07/2018 (the "Promotional Period").
Entry into this Contest is open only to legal residents of Sweden, who are at least eighteen (18) years of age (hereinafter “Entrant/s”).
How to enter the Contest:
During the Promotional Period, all Entrants who visit the VANS Store Gothenburg - Kompassen, Fredsgatan 12-14, Gothenburg, 41107, Sweden, will have the opportunity to enter the Contest.
To enter the Contest, Entrants will first have to fill in the registration form through the electronic tablet available in the VANS store, by providing the following requested data (name, surname, e-mail address and shoe size).
To complete the registration process, they will be asked to submit their answer to the following question displayed on the tablet: "What do you like about skating in Vans shoes?“ (hereinafter "Submission"). Entrants will also be given the opportuntiy to consent to receive the VANS newsletter, but Entrants do not need to give their consent in order to enter the Contest.
In order to enter the Contest, Entrants must send their Submission and such Submission must comply with the requirements set forth below, during the Promotional Period (and in any event by 23.59 CET on 21/07/2018).
Entrants shall only be entitled to submit one (1) Submission and can therefore only receive one (1) entry into the Contest.
Entrants must provide accurate and complete information when completing the registration form. Incomplete or incorrect information will not be considered and will render the relevant Entrant‘s entry and participation null and void.
Entrants’ liability related to their Submissions:
By entering the Contest, Entrants accept these Contest Rules in their entirety and declare that:
- they are the author and owner of all copyright and intellectual property rights in the Submissions sent and that the Submissions have not been copied or reproduced from any other source or third parties;
- the Submission complies with all applicable laws in Sweden;
- the Submission is not in violation of any laws and in particular that the Submission is not a reproduction and does not infringe upon any intellectual property rights, moral rights, copyrights, third party personal data protection rights, publication rights and in general terms that the Submission respects the provisions of law in regard to copyrights and any other regulations or laws in force;
- they hereby grant to the Promotion Company a non-exclusive, royalty free licence to use, adapt, publish, modify, distribute, reproduce and display the Submission in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed, including, but not limited to, on any and all Internet media, including Promotion Company’s website or related websites and social networking platforms (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.), for any purpose whatsoever, including for promotional, advertising or marketing purposes (except where prohibited by law), until such time as the Entrant chooses to revoke such rights;
- they are wholly liable for the Submission sent and will consequently indemnify the Promotion Company against any liability it incurs as a result of the Submission failing to comply with the conditions set out in these Contest Rules; and
- they agree to take part in any reasonable publicity required by the Promotion Company, should they win one of the Prizes available under the Contest.
Each Entrant acknowledges that other Entrants may have used ideas and/or concepts in their Submissions that may be similar, in idea and/or concept, to the Submission sent by the Entrant. Each Entrant understands and accepts that he/she may not make any claim against any other Entrant or the Promotion Company should such similarity arise, nor shall he/she have any right to any compensation due to such similarity.
Each Submission will be moderated by the Promotion Company. The Promotion Company reserves its right to refuse entry to Entrants whose Submissions:
- are out of keeping with the spirit of the Contest in the Promotion Company's sole opinion (including content which the Promotion Company deems offensive and/or inappropriate);
- are designed to promote or publicise any brand, product, service or commercial activity apart from those of the Promotion Company and/or that are unrelated to the Contest;
- contain content which has been copied from other sources;
- contain content not related to the Contest theme.
Only if the entry is judged suitable by the Promotion Company's moderators, shall the Entrant who submitted the Submission be entered into the Contest.
All Entrants must be aged 18 years old or over.
Each Entrant may only register for the Contest once.
No Entrant may win more than one (1) prize.
Employees of the Promotion Company and all those involved in the organisation and management of the Contest are not allowed to enter the Contest.
The method for awarding prizes:
On or about 23/07/2018 a diverse panel of judges (including one independent judge), selected by the Promotion Company, (“Judging Panel”) will evaluate all valid Submissions correctly submitted in accordance with these Contest Rules based on relevance to the topic, originality and creativity.
The five (5) best Submissions as judged by the Judging Panel and based on the criteria listed above will be deemed to be the winners of the Contest.
The Judging Panel will also determine five (5) runner-ups in order of preference based on the criteria listed above. A runner-up shall only be used if a winner fails to claim their prize in accordance with these Contest Rules or is disqualified from the Contest for any reason.
The selection of the winners and runner-ups is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
In the event that there will be not enough Entrants to give away all prizes available under the Contest, the Promotion Company reserves its right not to award all five (5) prizes or to award fewer than five (5) prizes at its absolute discretion.

Notification to the winners
Winners will be notified of their win by e-mail (using the e-mail address provided by Entrants upon registration) within seven (7) working days from the final draws (which shall take place on or about 23/07/2018).
Winners will have seven (7) days from being notified of their win to reply to the notification email accepting the prize and providing all the information requested by the Promotion Company.
If a potential winner within seven (7) calendar days of first notification attempt cannot be contacted, fails to provide the information requested, if the prize is rejected by the winner or the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or in the event of noncompliance with these Contest rules and requirements, the winner will have forfeited such prize and it will be awarded to a runner-up.
The first runner-up with will be contacted in the same manner as described above and, if necessary, the process repeated until the prize is finally awarded to a runner-up.
In the event that having followed the awarding process described above, the prize cannot be given to a winner or a runner-up, the Promotion Company reserves its right not to award said prize.
The Promotion Company reserves the right to require winners to provide a valid form of identification proving their age and identity before receiving their prize. Any identity verification document produced must be in the name of the person who has entered the Contest.
Prize will be delivered by the Promotion Company within 60 days of winners formally accepting their prize.
The Promotion Company shall not be liable to any winner with whom contact and/or delivery cannot be made due to: (i) incorrect or incomplete details having been provided at registration; or (ii) the winner’s mailbox being full, blacklisted or no longer active; and/or (iii) the notification email being deemed to be spam and thus not reaching the winner's email account or being directed into the junk folder of the winner's email account.
The Promotion Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend this Contest or these Contest Rules should (in its sole discretion) virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its reasonable control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Contest. In such case, the Promotion Company may select the winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by the Promotion Company.
Upon suspension or cancellation the Promotion Company cannot be held liable for any expenses incurred or damages suffered, whether direct, indirect, consequential or inconsequential, and the Promotion Company shall not be obliged to organize any alternative Contest or offer any alternative prize.
Multiple registrations are forbidden. Any attempt by a Entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different e-mail addresses, identities and registrations, or any other methods will result in the removal of the participation of the said Entrant, who may be excluded from this Contest. Use of any automated system to submit entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
The Promotion Company may prohibit a Entrant from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said Entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other Entrants or Promotion Company representatives.
The Promotion Company is not responsible for any technical problems or human error that may result in an entry not being received or being lost or damaged or for any destruction or alteration of, or unauthorized access to, Contest registrations and entries.
The Promotion Company reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and Entrants (including an Entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entry that is not in accordance with these Contest Rules.
Save where the Promotion Company has been negligent or in relation to the Promotion Company's fraud and to the extent permitted by law, the Promotion Company shall in no way be liable for any injuries, losses, damages or expenses suffered or incurred by any winner of the Contest, as a direct or indirect result of participating in this Contest and/or accepting a prize.
The full costs of participation in the Contest are entirely at the expense of the Entrant. In no case can the Entrant recover the cost of his or her participation from the Promotion Company.
Winners will be solely responsible for any federal, state or local taxes relating to their prize.
Acceptance of these Rules is a condition of entry into the Contest and entry indicates full acceptance of these Rules.
The Promotion Company’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into except with the winners to notify them that they have won and to provide the prizes.
The prizes quoted are subject to availability and, in the event of unforeseen circumstances, or circumstances outside of the Promotion Company reasonable control, the Promotion Company reserves the right to amend, withdraw or substitute any part of this Promotion Company competition and/or prize for an alternative arrangement of equal or greater value.
The prizes are not transferable, and no cash or other alternative arrangements will be offered.
Failure by the Promotion Company to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
If any term of these Contest Rules shall be found to be void or contrary to law, such term shall be deemed to be severable from the other terms and provisions herein, and the remainder of the rules shall remain in effect.
